Portobello Road Market

Soboty są najbardziej ekstremalnymi dniami na Notting Hill. Ulicami przechodzą wtedy tabuny ludzi, a zrobienie przyzwoitego zdjęcia prawie graniczy z cudem. Nie wspominając o niesamowitych umiejętnościach do przepychania się między ludźmi, które trzeba mieć żeby zobaczyć cokolwiek na choć jednym z licznych straganów wśród których można znaleźć najróżniejsze rzeczy.

Saturdays are the craziest days in Notting Hill. There are literally rivers of people strolling down the streets. And getting a decent picture almost equals with a miracle. Not to mention that you have to have an amazing ability of elbowing your way to the countless stands selling variety of things (name it, they have it).

Oj tak, sprawił że spojrzałam!

W pewnym momencie po prostu zrezygnowałam z pomysłu robienia większej ilości zdjęć drzwi. Ale wydaje mi się, że choć częściowo udało mi się oddać to, co chciałam pokazać - ten sam styl, różne kolory. Mimo to wszystkie razem wyglądają świetnie i tworzą niepowtarzalny klimat Notting Hill/Londynu.
At one point I just gave up the idea of making more pictures of doors. But I think that those pretty much portray what I was attempting to show - same style, various colours. All looking fabulously great and creating the atmosphere of Notting Hill/London.

Właśnie to miałam na myśli pisząc o tabunach ludzi przechodzących ulicami.

This is what I meant saying - rivers of people strolling down the Portobello Road.

Jednak mimo tłumów, udało nam się znaleźć spokojne miejsce w bocznej uliczce gdzie mogłyśmy usiąść i spróbować kupionego wcześniej jedzenia .

Despite all those crowds we managed to find a peaceful place in the back alley, where we could take a sit and try out some food bought earlier.
